Skidmore Spotlight: Sarah Delaney Vero

February 14, 2019

Sarah Delaney Vero has served as interim chief human resources officer since September 2018, but her roots at Skidmore go much deeper.

A labor and employment attorney, she began working with the College’s human resources team as outside legal counsel in 2008. She has also served as both interim Title IX coordinator and deputy Title IX coordinator.

â€śThe thing that struck me most in working with Skidmore is HR’s commitment to do the right thing by its employees. I saw time and time again instances of HR going above and beyond,” she said.

Delaney Vero said she especially values the sense of community at Skidmore.

â€śWalking across campus during the fall, I feel a sense of excitement and anticipation that brings me back to my college days,” she said, adding that the Dining Hall is her favorite spot on campus. “The selection, quality and excellent customer service provided by employees make it a true gem.”

When she’s not on campus, she spends time with family and enjoys tennis, skiing, reading, cooking, meditation and yoga.
